Take a drive between Merredin, Kalgoorlie, and Menzies, and you’ll be rewarded with wildflower views that will stop you in your tracks. This trail winds through the Great Western Woodlands, which supports 20% of Australia’s plant species. This region is not only breathtaking, but also holds the title of the world’s largest and most pristine temperate forest, renowned for its incredible biodiversity. From September to November, this area transforms into a sea of colour, offering the most spectacular wildflower displays on the planet.
